MY COMMISSION AND AUTHORITY

Some who inquire into this website might question my credentials or authority for the content of the information found herein. To this inquiry I would answer that “My Commission and Authority” comes from the Lord Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible, the word of God. Every true “born again” Christian (See “My Conversion and Testimony” in this website.) has been commissioned by the Lord Jesus Christ to preach the gospel. (MARK 16:15) “He said unto them, go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature”. If we look at this verse closely, we notice the following;

· “He said” – The “commissioner” is the Lord Jesus Christ.

· “unto them” – The “commissioned”, the disciples, followers of Christ i.e., every true child of God.

· “Go – preach the gospel “– The “commission” – to proclaim God’s good news – the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and salvation to everyone who believes.

· “into all the world” - - “to every creature”.– The scope of the gospel message – for every person in every place.

There are many other scripture verses in the Bible that also proclaim the same or similar truths. See for example, (Matthew 28:18 – 20) (Luke 24:47) (Acts 1:8) (John 17:17 – 20).

God’s word states that all who are saved, born again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, have been given “the ministry of reconciliation” and that they are” ambassadors for Christ”. See (2 Corinthians 5:18 – 20). An “AMBASSADOR” is one who has been given authority to represent another. In this case, believers are acting on Christ’s behalf as messengers and representatives duly appointed by him. As an Ambassador I have been given “the ministry of reconciliation” and my message to all readers of this website is “be ye reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20). This is an exhortation to you to take advantage of the peace terms of the gospel. It is important for you to understand that man, by his own sins and on righteous grounds, is banished from God. God is holy and cannot tolerate sin in his presence. But God is also loving, merciful and gracious. He has by the means of the cross and the death of his Son, been able to effect a righteous reconciliation for the sinner. (2 Corinthians 5:19) says “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself”. On the ground of Christ’s death and finished work on the cross, I have authority to say to you “be ye reconciled to God”. This means you must change your mind, your attitude, and except the provision God has made for you. Until this change of attitude takes place, you are under God’s condemnation and exposed to God’s wrath. Your destiny will be determined by your decision.

There is one other point regarding my authority and/or my qualifications for this website. It is that, for over forty years, I have been reading and studying the Bible, the Word of God.
